SUMMARY
As a Driver/Field Technician for Logistics Recycling Inc. (LRI) you will be a Hazardous Materials Handler. You will be responsible for ensuring safe and proper transportation, management, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with all appropriate regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain a clean and safe environment for all Team Members.

Identify, label, and package hazardous materials to ensure safe transportation.

Load and unload materials using a forklift, hand truck, or other heavy equipment.

Conduct lab pack operations, such as packing and classifying chemicals.

Maintain compliance with all necessary regulations and safety criteria.
-
Will be responsible for reporting all spills, losses, violations, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.

Perform various general warehouse duties, including housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe workspace.

As a Hazardous Materials Handler, you will interact with various levels of customers, co-workers, and other personnel regularly.

You will work independently with some level of authority and must make decisions on classification and management of hazardous materials.

Other duties as assigned by Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
-
High school diploma or equivalent required. 5 years’ experience driving equipment strongly desired.
-
Must be able to frequently lift and or move up to 75lbs. Frequently required to sit stand walk and use hands.

The successful candidate will be required to pass a DOT physical, drug test and criminal background check.

Must possess basic math skills add subtract multiply and divide with ease in all units of measure.

Must be able to read and comprehend English as it relates to: short correspondence, memos, safety rules, and manuals.

Must be able to write routine reports. Must be able to communicate with customers and coworkers.

Must achieve and maintain a valid commercial driver license CDL.

Excellent listening skills coupled with energetic positive phone presence.

Demonstrates ability to multitask and prioritize work to complete all assigned tasks in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
