CDL TRUCK DRIVER CLASS B FIELD TECHNICIAN 

SUMMARY

As a Driver/Field Technician for Logistics Recycling Inc. (LRI) you will be a Hazardous Materials Handler. You will be responsible for ensuring safe and proper transportation, management, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with all appropriate regulations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for all Team Members.

  • Identify, label, and package hazardous materials to ensure safe transportation.

  • Load and unload materials using a forklift, hand truck, or other heavy equipment.

  • Conduct lab pack operations, such as packing and classifying chemicals.

  • Maintain compliance with all necessary regulations and safety criteria.

  • Will be responsible for reporting all spills, losses, violations, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.

  • Perform various general warehouse duties, including housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe workspace.

  • As a Hazardous Materials Handler, you will interact with various levels of customers, co-workers, and other personnel regularly.

  • You will work independently with some level of authority and must make decisions on classification and management of hazardous materials. 

  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 5 years’ experience driving equipment strongly desired.

  • Must be able to frequently lift and or move up to 75lbs. Frequently required to sit stand walk and use hands.  

  • The successful candidate will be required to pass a DOT physical, drug test and criminal background check.

  • Must possess basic math skills add subtract multiply and divide with ease in all units of measure.  

  • Must be able to read and comprehend English as it relates to: short correspondence, memos, safety rules, and manuals.

  • Must be able to write routine reports. Must be able to communicate with customers and coworkers.  

  • Must achieve and maintain a valid commercial driver license CDL. 

  • Excellent listening skills coupled with energetic positive phone presence.

  • Demonstrates ability to multitask and prioritize work to complete all assigned tasks in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.

  • Able to work independently while supporting an overall team mentality
