CDL TRUCK DRIVER CLASS B FIELD TECHNICIAN 

SUMMARY

We are seeking a detailed and timely individual to join our Waunakee team as a CDL Driver/Field Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for safely collecting materials and waste from our customers for disposal. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, the ability to efficiently navigate routes while maintaining a professional demeanor, and safe handling of waste materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety Protocol 

  • Collect and transport general and hazardous waste materials safely and efficiently according to routes and schedules. 

  • Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations while operating vehicles and equipment.

  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure operational safety and compliance with company policies.

Customer Service

  • Interact professionally and courteously with customers and the public during waste collection and transportation activities

  • Exhibits punctuality and effective communication at pick-up/drop-off sites.

Daily Tasks 

  • Assist with loading, unloading, and weighing waste materials at designated facilities

  • Maintain accurate records of waste collection activities and submit reports, manifests, and other related paperwork as required by management

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Clean driving record with a valid CDL Class B required

  • Ability to operate trucks/trailers, forklifts, and related equipment effectively 

  • Ability to lift and move heavy waste containers and equipment up to and between 50 to 75lbs

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols

  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions

  • Experience in the waste industry, with Lab Packs, or with DOT regulations/HAZWOPER is a plus
